So heres what you need to know…..

Here is what you should bring:
A travel bag, if you are alone we will not release your puppy without a secure container.
A towel and some wet wipes
Some paper towel
Your final payment
And most important LEAVE YOUR EXPECTATIONS IN THE CAR AND PICK THE PUPPY THAT MAKES YOUR HEART SING

Here’s what I will give you:
Your contract and receipt
A cozy blanket, that smells like mom
A stinky toy that smells like the litter
Enough food for a week or training treats
Akc papers to follow, (I’m realllly slow with paper work)
Oh and your new best friend

Your puppy will have had its first physical with my vet, first set of shots and has been dewormed twice with Panacur (2x 3 days)
You will get the vet notes.
Please make a vet appt for three weeks after pick up.

One important take away from reading everything on my site. Even if you get your new best friend from another breeder……Before you bring your puppy home, please make sure you have your vets number AND the number of the closest 24 hour animal hospital, including their address. If something unimaginable happens, you don’t want to be scrambling for help. You will want to just go.

I have loved your puppy for the last 8 weeks and done everything to start you off with a happy healthy darling.
It will take 3 days for your puppy to learn to sleep alone, do not despair ! All the shouting is “you are not the boss of me”
Whimpering is “I need to go potty right this minute”

Please take your puppy around and let him experience everything while he is young. 8 to 12 weeks is a very important time for a puppy, this is the FEAR PERIOD so teach him now what not to be afraid of.  Remember to communicate “if it’s ok with me it’s ok with you, I won’t lead you astray, I am your person! & I u.

Your puppy CAN be around dogs that you know have had their shots while they complete their vaccine schedule. Please do not keep your puppy in and away from things like people, sidewalks, grass, thunder, stores and shopping carts ETC during this 8-12 twelve week period, no matter what your mother-in-law or the person behind you in line at the supermarket says. This is a crucial time and cannot be missed or redone.
Also, one qualifier, NO dog parks till the finish of all shots through rabies at four months.

One last thing, we will insure your puppy for the first month with truepanion. Unfortunately anyone living in New York State is not a eligible for this. This is free and you DO NOT have to signup beyond that month, it drops automatically, but NO PUPPY LEAVES HERE WITHOUT IT. Do not give them your CC number.
Please sign up in advance if you know the gender and have chosen a name. They are open 24/7. But it must be done within the first 24 of leaving our homes.
